been to the boat shows this season? they're doing some crazy deals - i think i'm ready to upgrade to the SSV GG. Saw the new mastercrafts/malibu's and laughed at the prices. Only one way to go!

Mastercraft had an X-80 at the Atlanta Boat Show with an MSRP of $102,000. Crazy!

I just bought the 04 GG SSV for less than 48K. That comes with a killer stereo system (kenwood mp3/cd player, 1200 Watt 5 channel amp, 4 MB Quart 6.5 " tower speakers, 10" kenwood sub, and the standard marine-grade in-boat speakers). I added an 8" bazooka sub and am getting an audiobahn 10" tube enclosure for the 10" kenwood. Just the 8" bazooka is amazing. With the 10" and the 8" bazooka in parallel, it will be more than enough!

The GG package also includes tower lights. 2 forward and 3 backward. They have adjustable swivels to easily direct the light where you need it.

This package also includes the 1100 lbs ballast system. A 600 in the basement, and two 250s in the rear (1 on each side). I can fill and drain each bag individually with the witches. You also get the bimini top, very plush seating, and plenty of room.

My other choice boat would have been a Malibu Wakesetter VLX. Two of my friends have one and I love their boats too. However, I would have had to pay at least 60K for an 04 Malibu with all of the same options.

Way to go Supra! Excellent quality boat at a great price!

Did your '04 GG SSV come with a security system?

Also check out Infinty Bass Link if your looking for a powered sub. I really like the sub enclouser, it has no cardboard or wood and you gotta love the cleaner amp and more power. Call me when your ready to ride, my dry suit is waiting!

Yeah, I wish I had that luxury. Until then, she hybernates outside. If you ever come across a good security system, let me know - my amp & sub walked off in the middle of the night one night.

That sucks! I HATE thieves. One guy had a problem like that and did a booby trap arrangement the next time. He super glued razor blades to his amplifier and the back and sides of his head unit. He was right, the thieves came back, stole the head unit and amp, and bled all over the boat. It still didn't prevent the equipment from getting stolen, but it sure marked the guy who did it!

Anyway, here are a few places you can get boat alarm equipment from.

    http://www.voicealarm.com/index.html (this might be pricy)
http://waterski.about.com/cs/accesso...lock_alarm.htm (this is probably a better price range)
    http://www.marineguard.net/ (don't know the price)

Those are some good options...thanks. I came across this site as well: http://www.boatalarm.com/index.html

I think the canvas sensors may be an option...
