    Default Repainted 92 Mariah

    Hey Guys,

Just wanted to show off my baby. I got her repainted over the winter. I took it to a local fibergalss shop for the work. They painted it with some kind of urethane based paint. They matched the color and put on three coats of base color and three coats of clearcoat. They only painted the red parts. I had them wet sand and buff the remaining white portions of the hull. Total cost for paint and sanding was $700. I called Supra and was informed that they did not have the original decal available. I made rubbings of the decals on the boat using thin paper and a crayon. I took to rubbings to a local sign shop. The guy scanned them and custom cut new decals for me. He only charged me $350 for all of it including applying them. Not bad considering they guy came in on a saturday to apply them for me. Anyway, I gonna try and post a couple pics. Lets hope its works.

    Later,
    DKJ

Nice boat. Great to see boats being redone. Now we want interior pics and on water pics.

Great job - and the price is right too huh? Inspiration for the rest of us older Supra owners. Umm, I mean owners of older Supras!

looks like it may have been a few years ago, price does look good, but maybe a bit higher now. I think the thread was started in '04.....

Oh yeah - you're right, I never looked at the date. See, maybe I am one of the older Supra owners and not just an owner of an older Supra!

Took some new pics this afternoon before putting her in the water to go on the lift. I haven't had a chance to wax it yet this season, but still looks decent. Pics are clickable thumbnails

Notice the retrofitted Bennett hydraulic wakeplate and the transom remote on the right. Probably my two favorite upgrades I've done to the boat.
