    Default Oil Pressure Fluctuation

I dewinterized my SSV last weekend and it started up with no problem...the only thing I noticed is that the oil pressure gauge fluctuates (I don't remember it doing this last year) It reads steady and normal under acceleration but fluctuates when idling. I checked the obvious things (oil level, plugs, hoses, etc.) and everything appears normal and she runs strong. Any comments/suggestions?

lose wire connection at the sensor on the engine? perhaps it gets wiggled while under way. also check the connection on the back of the gauge.

I checked the connections - all appears fine. Oil pressure goes as high as 60 when underway....still seems to run fine and all else checks out. Perhaps the 40 reading I recall seeing last year is incorrect...still open for suggestions.

I have the same thing with my 2000 and 1999 legacy boats. Both oil pressures increase with an increase in speed. They have both done it since they were new though, so I have never worried about it.
