Why is it that my profile picture does not come up when I post???

This really is not important but I can not figure out why when I post my profile picture does not come up next to my name???? I have the right size picture and it comes up in my profile page but no where else. Any ideas???? Thanks for your time.

Do you have an "Avatar" picture? I think that is what is appearing next to folks names.

Mine does not show a picture either. I was wondering the same thing. Is there a setting or something?

Seriously, I am pretty sure this is your "avatar" that you need to get right.

Go to User CP above, select it - then find "Edit Avatar"

THis presents a screen like the one I have attached.

Use one of the methods in the bottom to either point at an online (web) image, or upload
a photo, press save and see what happens.

Yup - that is it. I never had a picture next to my name, only in my signature.
The process I used to create that screen shot was to add the ringtail to my avatar - and now it's there.

in order for your signature photo to be seen, you need to upload a signature photo AND add this line under your signatue...

"[SIGPIC][/SIGPIC]"

Thanks for the help. I wanted to put a signature picture but I can not seem to do that either. when I go to edit signature, down below where it says what options are avaliable, upload images says no next to it. Any ideas? Thanks again

I think you need to add a signature before you can put up a photo.

Yeah, I have the photo next to my name but why is it that I can not get a signature photo to work? At the bottom of the box where you type in your signature it says "upload images no". Any ideas??? Thanks again
