    Default Fat Sac Dimensions

    I have been looking to up grade to the 750's and I figured I would measure the sacs I have and the V-Drive space.

    When I measured the sacs that I have now (they are empty), I measured appx 13x13x30. Does anyone know which one that is? They are fly high bags with the three vents, looks almost the same as the new ones but the 400lb bags which I thought were stock are 16x16x40 right? and the 750's are 20x20x50.

    Does any body know what the 13x13x30 is? I dont think a 750 would fit in my compartment. I think the 400's would though. Remember I have a 2005 now.

    Thanks!

    Time to break out the old calculator:

    13x13x30 = 5070 cubic inches
    5070 cu in x 0.0005787 (cubic feet per cubic inch) = 2.93 cubic feet
    2.93 cu ft x 62.4 lbs/cu ft (density of water) = 182 lbs

    Probably round up to ~200 lbs when totally full & bulged a bit.

    The others figure at:
    16x16x40 = 370 lbs
    20x20x50 = 722 lbs

    Again, totally full they're probably 400 & 750. Hope this helps.

    That helps, I am just wondering why those bags are so small? I figured they were the stock bags and from what I know, the stock bags were the 400's. Oh the the 400lb bad is 16x16x42 so that is probably closer to 400lbs.

    I am just wondering if anybody has seen bags before with the demensions that mine have before. I can not find any with those dimensions online.

    I am thinking about filling the bag up with a hose and measuring when it is full. There is no way that 30" long empty is going to stretch a foot to 42" full. Looks like I may just have to upgrade to the "stock" bags to start, lol.

    Guys just check wakemakers.com they have all the sizing and dimensions layed out. Remember that the bags can be over-filled as well and will expand slightly as they reach capacity.

    I already checked wakemakers mikey and I didn't see anything that looked like the bags I have. They may just old, who knows. Not a big deal, I was just curious if anybody had heard of the dimensions.

    Tay,

    I have an '08 Sunsport 22V and I have the 750's in the rear compartments and they fit with no problems. I can fully fill them, although they do take up a large section of the compartment when filled completely. Not sure if your '05 has a different size compartment than an '08?

    They are great for surfing, I usually dont need to fill them all the way for wakeboarding. Typically when filling all the bags at one time, once the 400 lb front is filled I shut all them off. I figure this is around 1200 lbs.

    This is from a ad on WW and must be what I have in my boat.

    "I have 2 grey 16X16X30 (stock rear bags from Supra 21V). These hold about 280 lbs of water"

    Even though I have the 22SSV the bags are definetly that size. So for me it would be an upgrade to just go to the 400's.
