Default Finally done with amp rack!!!

    "inspired by TayTay"

Got to give thanks to Tay Tay. I took some inspiration from the job he did on his amp rack. I have been hating how my amps were mounted for some time now. They were just screwed in to the interior of the locker on the passenger side and after seeing the job TayTay did, I had to dive into mine. After a few days of pulling my hair out, This is what I have come up with.

These are the before shots. I removed the amps and subs. The subs were laying flat but didn't seem to fit properly. They were laying partly on the batteries.

I Bought the mdf and carpet from the local hardware store. Carpet isn't exact but it will work. I constructed the rack and mounted the amps. Got a little saw dust on the dog.

I then cut the carpet away from the glass and mounted my braces for the rack. (just as TayTay did). I used 5 studs to give more support. My rack is not resting on the floor.

Then I did the hard part. All wiring is on the rack itself. I then applied all quick connects so that I can remove the rack in the future if needed.

I then set the speakers in place and mounted the rack. Next I cleaned up the wires and repositioned the batteries.

Ran into a few snags here and there but all in all it turned out ok. Especially for a do it yourself job.

Nice man! I like how you put the Perko on there and how the wires are run through the rack. In hindsite I think I would have like to do that better. I can always take the rack back out and run them through there. I dont think that would be that hard.

It wasn't hard. It actually makes it easier to keep things in order. I am a little ADD when it comes to wiring. Hey, at least it makes since in my head.

Actually, lets start a Dog Thread. I'll start one, and if a Mod could move the "dog" posts over there, I think that would be cool.
