    Default Ratchet tie-downs

Anyone using the ratchet tie downs that mount onto the trailer? I saw these on the boatmate website and am thinking about ordering them, not sure how difficult they are to install? I like how they stay on the trailer and make it easy to hook and unhook the tie down.

Pics anyone of your ratchet tie downs?

    Travis,

Those came on my trailer. I LOVE them. Use them all the time.

I can't say how hard they were to install, cause they were already there - but they attach to the tabs that the bottom of a "free strap" would go into with a bolt.

    DO IT!

Ive seen a couple of trailers at the dealer with them. I personally dont use them. Ive been told the boat is heavy enough to keep itself in place. Id also be afraid they would rub the back of the hull.

    Todd,

Got any pics? Sounds like they just bolt onto the loop hole on the current welded bracket? Wow, that sounds too easy!

Heavy enough to keep the boat in place? That's complacency. The boat CAN and WILL come bounce around if something happens.

Fman, I installed the Boat Buckles on my trailer. 1 bolt. That's it. You can install them quicker then it took to type this thread on your first post. You can also have the boat strapped down in less than 10 seconds, and unbuckled in the same amount of time.

    Buy them, they're beautiful.

I will try to get some pictures.

I did add a small part of the "transomsaver" that I installed where the straps could
    touch the hull.

However - and take this as you will, I will NOT transport a boat without transom
    straps.

Go to the wakeworld site (a link was also here) to see the carnage about a boat
that even had the transom straps that was flipped out - across the median on the highway --

For some reason the wakeboarding area will only let me see 3 threads. Am I blocked for some reason?

    Gravity,

I can also only see 3 --- I think that is all there are in that one.
