    Default waterlogged floatation

I've got an 87 comp that was swamped many years ago. I think my floatation is saturated and is causing the boat to lean to the right under power. I want access without pulling the whole floor if possible. Any suggestions?

there really isn't any way to dry the foam once it's saturated. it's closed cell to keep water out but once it gets in, the closed cells keep it in. even if you could pull it out in chunks and lay it on your driveway to dry out, the center of the chunks would still be wet.

are you sure the pull to the right isn't just the torque of the engine? mine pulls to the right as well but it's not too much. different props can cause more pull, you can have your rudder shaved if it's really bad.

sitting still in the water, is your starboard side lower? if it's the foam, that side would always be heavier.

I'll check that out this week. If it's not leaning in neutral it might not be the foam? that would be great.
