    Default Temperature guage jumping

I have a 2001 sunsport and the temperature guage started jumping erracticly (sp). I checked the impeller and it was okay and even pulled off a hose to make sure when I turned the engine over it was working. The guage is going from 0 to the middle. Is it the sending unit? Where is the sending unit? I think it is right below the thermosat housing and I sanded the contacts of whatever that sending unit is. Where can I get a replacement for the sending unit if I need one?

Gut reaction is a intermittent fault in the ground to the guage. Thats about all i can think of with the limited information. Note: the text of your post isn't showing up, and i would guess it is because you didnt log in before posting.

If the temp is actually jumping around and it is not just the guage, then it is an indicationthe impeller needs to be changed out. My guage was bumping around and changing out the impeller settled it down.
