    Default Removing Factory Speakers

I have an '86 Sunsport that has four factory speakers that are flush mounted in the side gunnels. I've purchased new 6.5" speakers to replace them but I'm not sure how to remove the originals. The screens don't appear to just snap off and there are no mounting screws visible with the scrren on. Can anyone tell me how to remove them without damaging the surrounding fiberglass.

    Thanks.

my 87 saltare has 4 factory speakers too. if they are the same, the only way to get them off is to pull the screens off. that let's you get to the screws and once those are out the whole speaker will come out.

try a bent up paper clip to pull them out. you should have new grills so don't worry about the old ones too much.
