    Default Beware spam in PM's

spammers have taken it up a notch and have started PM'ing spam. please don't click on any suspicious looking links and if you don't recognize the user name...they most likely aren't a forum moderator or admin person. also check their post count. if they're a 1 post wonder or have very few posts, go ahead and report them so we can ban the user.

    thanks

The PM in question was someone who joined and put the words "Forum administrator" in their signature. They sent a message stating your computer is infected/has a virus/is being used to send spam emails. You are then instructed to click on their link, are taken to their homepage disguised as a virus scanner, and prompted to download a 'virus scanning program' which we have identified as a malicious website delivering a virus or other program to hijack the end users PC. This is not an issue for Macs, darn you.
