Can you have somebody sew vents into the existing cover? I wish I had a better picture but I will try to describe it. Imagine taking a 4 inch length of PVC pipe (4" diameter perhaps) and cut it in half lingth wise. Now take some material that looks like it could be from a screen door and put that over the two halfs of the PVC pipe length wise. That is essentially my vents (there are 4 of them). They are sewn into the cover with the matching cover material over them. They keep the rain/bugs out but let air in and out. I would cover the boat when it was wet from wakeboarding all the time and it was always dry the next day. Here is the best picture I can find of my old boat/custom cover
