I would think so. Most people that really like to ski like the DD. Weighted properly they can throw a great wakeboard wake too.

Make sure you take people (ideally the number you would have out with you on a typical weekend) and sit in the boat. My concern would be the location of the ski pylon. You lose the entire seating arrangement if someone skies if it is in front of the motor box.
Our 2004 22' SSV, the ski pylon is only over the sunpad and not the entire bench seat.
