Default need replacement base for engine cover 96 sunsport

Is it possible to get a replacement for a damaged wooden engine cover "base" for a 96 sunsport?

    thanks

If you are at all handy, it would be easy to make the replacement yourself. Just remove the old one, note how it is constructed, use it as a template and go to work.

Thanks for the reply. I did try that, but my handy work resulted in 4 stitches in my foot. I really just want a new one. Do they still make them?

I hope the foot is better. Call or email Anthony Cooper at Skiers Choice. (865)983-9924x118, or, [email protected]. Hope this helps. Brian Raymond

thanks for all the good info on this. I have one more quesiton though, over the weekend I was out with a friend on her Sanger and I noticed that the way that they have thier base, which is raised just slightly off of the floor, allows for a considerable air flow to the engine. Is this something that I need to consider for my boat as well, or does the engine get its air through different means?

    thanks

If anyone is interested, I ended up having the new base fabricated by a very skilled wood worker out of south american mahogany. It will go nicely with a teak swim platform I think.

    thanks for everyones help.
