Default Replacing tower board rack swivels question

I know some of you have replaced the crappy stock roswell swivels with the new swivels that they are offering. I just checked on the site and it says that the new swivels only have two positions. This would mean that you cannot swivel the rack all the way to the inside of the boat like the previous version. For those of you that have made the switch, will the swivel allow you to move the rack all the way to the inside of the tower and not lock or will it not let you move it all the way in at all? As of now, I cannot pull into my dock slip without the board racks swivelled to inside the tower, otherwise the long racks will catch the lift cables. So, basicaly I am wondering if the new swivels will work for me.

I switched to the manual racks and I have three pin positions. I have to also put my racks locked to the inside of the boat to fit my dock and my new ones lock in that position. Much better than the old ones.

    Mine were replacements from Roswell.

Are your replacements the same as these or different?

    Blaze,

That is not what I switched to. Actually that looks like what I replaced except my push button release had 3 positions as well.

This looks like the link for what I have now. The pins are much better than the push button. My kids had trouble with the button, just weren't strong enough.

I have had all three on my 2005 22 SSV. The ones with individual lift pins would stick, the push to release type can be hard to activate and would get sloppy after a while. I had to pay $100 to upgrade to the push style, but then got a free upgrade to the single pin. Roswell has been great to work with. Looks like their designs are catching up with the reality of the abuse our boats take on the water.

I also have the pin style and they work great, the push button bottom style were terrible and wobbly. I believe you can get the pin style for $100, which is a great price.

I think they have raised it up to 150 now, that is what I got in the email back from roswell. I am going to get the replacements as soon as I make sure that they will be sending me 3-position swivels... still waiting on an email back.

I've heard Its best to keep the safety pins in to keep from breaking the swivel points in rough water. Jet

I'm on my third set of swivels. This one by far has been the best and most rock solid.

I went from sticky three button system to the single big hard to press button on the bottom...which I might add in time began to loosen and the rack would rattle and shake all the time. In my opinion the S.I. Swivel has been the best! I've got to say Roswell has been great in working with me on these swaps. Customer service has been great! I think they got it right with this swivel.
