Default Your Input?? Rebuilding platform, Pic's.

Lifted boat and Rutter out of the mud in last weeks storm and pulled the platform loose from the holders. The platform on these comps are way to small, so I was thinking:

Should I rebuild it? Pull out old soft wood and lace in new wood and fiberglass in?

    or

Should I build me a larger platform made of Teakwood with molded in handles?

    Down falls?
    What do you think? Jet

I would just cut out the old rotten wood and replace it with new then fiberglass over it.
If you go bigger you may have a dragging issue?

    Default Composite swim decks

Have you considered composite decking? Teak looks sharp but requires maintenance. The ski school I worked for replaced all the swim grids with ones made of plastic wood. It was durable, maintenance free, easy to build, and you can get a variety of colors and finishes. Only downfall I found the brand we used was a bit slick.

Rebuild as original or build a nice teak platform. Your comp is far too nice to use cheap plastic decking. Please don't take offense. Al

I am not sure why everyone is affraid of Natural oiled teak? I give mine a nice coat after every other outing and it still looks new. I love the new solid teak floor, we have had it out a dozen times or so an I could not be happier. No more wet nasty carpet. When the teak gets wet, the water just disappears, runs off, soakes in, evaporates. 2nd oiling on teak floor now, Al

There was a guy selling larger MC platforms on ski-it-again.com a while back.. might find something there. I would just rebolt the current platform.

If you would have parked the correct way like the rest of us you wouldn't have had this problem. You messed up our photo op. so Karma is repaying you.
