    Default Depth Finder Transducer Location

    I have a 1999 Supra Comp which does not have a depth finder on it. Where is the transducer supposed to be located?

    Does anyone have any suggestions on depth finders? My dad has a '97 Mastercraft 205, and the depth finder is pretty flaky on it.

    Also, what about a fish finder versus a basic depth finder? The cost is about the same, but the fish finders provide a profile of the bottom of the lake/ river. The downside is that they are larger and cannot be integrated as well. Just curious if I am crazy for even thinking about this or not.
