Ballast Bag vent emptying

I've noticed that after surfing about 10 minutes my 1100 lb surf bag prob would lose about 200 lbs. I quickly determined that due to the list of the boat it was emptying thru the vent line. So some quick Maguivering I came up with a simple solution......... wine cork.....full synthetic, not cork

Interesting! I had given some thought to plugging the hole. I have leakage from sac stacking.

Did all go ok? I guess if the sacs aren't putting pressure on the boat anywhere all would be good.

Hey Doc, the more wine the better the surfing! Nice idea.... stick a cork in it and call it good! every pound counts!

yep, stopped all the water loss and now the cork is part of my surf setup

as i filled my bag and watched the water keep coming out the vent hole after my pump stopped i put my finger in the hole and thought what could i use instead? Its so simple and fits perfect.....i laughed so hard i said i have to tell guys
