Default What Octane Gas do you run in your boat?

I have a 2008 24 SSV Gravity Games Edition boat and was just curious what octane everyone is running in there boat? The manual says to use 89 octane and the dealership siad no problem to run 87 octane.

I generally run "mid-grade" around here. Seems to me that you get different
performance from fuel at different altitudes - I am above 5000 feet here.

    I think our mid-grade is 87 --

I don't always have access to this though, and the 24SSV seems to do fine with what
I can get - never had any knocking or other issues.

Just checked the manual for 2008 models and they are calling for 89 octane for the MPI 325 and MPI 340 engines and 92 octane if you have the MPI 409 or MPI 450. Just wanted to pass the information along. The dealership had said 87 octane was fine but I will stick with the 89.

I run 89. My marina switched from 92 to 89 last year and I don't notice any difference.

89, it is what is recommended and not that big of a difference.

89 - as recommended. Unless I hit up Costco, which doesn't have 89 (at least near me) then it's 91.
