Default 1990 Comp: If its not one thing, its another.

    long story short:

after trying to track down a skip that quickly turned into a weekend ruining, horribly running engine, i have now rebuilt the carb and replaced the fuel filter. That didnt do it, so i converted the points to the electronic kit, bingo! Boat cranks and runs great. However, in the process i also fried my solenoid and broke my ignition (jerked the key out when the solenoid stuck).

now my bilge pump only works in manual, and my radio cuts out when the bilge or blowers are on... is this a bad connection?

im stuck at work and cant look at it, but im wondering if the auto feature on the bilge pump is supposed to be hard wired to the battery, and i left it off???

    any suggestions ?

also, it became very evident with the lack of a auto bilge pump that i need to tighten/ repack my stuffing box, but there is ample documentation on here for that.

ok, maybe that wasnt a short story.

My auto bildge pump runs without and button pushed, bildge or ign, so it hardwired. I have a 91 comp ts6m.
