Thats reasonable. Might not be enough pitch or diameter, more of a 1:1 ratio standard size. Should spin up fast.

I'm wondering what the specs are for the 540 and 542 if anyone happens to know. I'll call ACME directly before I make a final decision. Oh and JT Nettle is the cheapest prop man in the business. Believe me I've been searching for a week now!
Did you try contacting Acme directly? I did and they gave me these two suggestions. Speed/Slalom/Barefoot > 422; 12.5-15.5 or Power/Wake/Surf > 1868; 12.5-14.25. The both where four blades. The original three blade Michigan 14-14 RH is still on my boat. I have a 1990 Sunsport w/351 & 1.23, RH.

Man I'm pissed! The prop shaft that I ordered was about 2 inches too short. No I have to send it back and wait another week for a replacement.

My stock (or the one that came with my boat) prop was a 14x14. I did contact ACME and they suggested a 480 4 blade or a 430 3 blade.

Appears I needed to read your original post better... oops.

Weird. Our boats are the same and Acme suggested different props? Huh?

    techsledder,

I run about 1000lbs of ballast when wakeboarding and 1750lbs when surfing. I told them I wanted a prop that will push all that ballast weight plus all my passangers.

Do you run any fat sacs or ballast?

Not yet . Future plans are to surf my rig. I'll call them again and see what they say on that 1868. They did say it's a new prop they came up with. I don't remember the specifics other than they thought it would be a good choice for wakeboarding / surfing.

I did a few Google searches and found that most people that use the Acme 1868 (12.5 x 14.25), own the 2010 Ski Nautique 200.

Techsledder I thought I rememnered you asking for a prop that would pull some weight but also have top speed for slalom skiing. What are the stats on the prop they recommended for you Tech?? If I am reading right Memmer is looking for a prop for mainly surfing which would be a different pitch.
