Default How do I upgrade ballast

I have a 2003 Launch ssv with stock ballast, what size bags, what brand will plumb in the easiest to factory setup. Also what weight wre my factory bags, looking to surf but only recreationally. We don't take alot of people with us so need weight. Thanks in advance

2004, our bags I believe in the back were 250#. I have upgraded to 400#.

Check out Wakemakers.com to see if you have similar fittings currently. If so, the bags should work and check out blemished bags for discounts.

I wakeboard and haven't really surfed off ours. It would work as I have done it with holding the line (newbie on borrowed board), but more the better. On a 2004 that was set up for surfing, they had 1100 and 700# sack and one 400# in rear locker with the rear bench seat taken out.

    I have an 03 SSV
Rears were 250 - up grade to the 400's
    Front sac is 650 - I haven't changed it.
For surfing with 2 or 3 in the boat we add two 400 sacs ( one on the floor, one on the side seat) plus a 150lb brick on the seat.
speed should be 10.7 or 11 on pp
    wakeplate all the way up.
vary your speed to lenghten your wave.
Faster is longer but not as high.
