    Default Loosing oil?

I seem to be loosing about a litre a day of oil, it doesn't seem to be going out the exhaust, and when I turn the bilge pump on there is a little film on top of the water but definatly not a litre. The front ballast tank seems to have a film of oil on it.
I'm wondering if its simply the hose is leaking at the drain plug, whick I cannot get at unless I pull the motor.
    Anyone with a similar problem?

I've had my valve covers leak, font timing cover, oil plug, and aux. hose... could be anything. Best bet is to get a flashlight and a mirror and start poking around to find the wettest spot on the engine.

A liter a day of oil loss seems pretty significant to me. A leak that large would surely be noticable. You must be burning it. I think your engine is trying to tell you something...

It could be your transmission fluid leaking out into your hull, just check the dipsticks to see what oil your loosing.
