    Default Tower Speakers?

My '03 Supra is great, but the tower speakers are crap. Any suggestions on the best value for new/used Tower Speakers?

Wetsounds are top of the line, have heard nothing but great reviews on them. They are not cheap, but as with most items you get what you pay for.

Why is this in the classified?

I sell Wet Sounds, and everyone that's spent the money on them are as happy as can be. If you're pockets aren't that deep you may be able to swap out the speakers in the cans you have to the XS-650's, which is a 6.5" coax. They sound much better than normal car or standard marine speakers.

We would need to know more about what you are looking for in tower speakers. There are so many different types of speakers nowadays that you might want to explain.
    -Budget?
-What do you have for an amp to power it?
-Looking to have it loud? Clear?
-Hear it when riding 80' back or wake surfing?

I made my own setup for around $100 and it is plenty loud for wakeboarding @ 75' with 1/2 to 3/4 volume. I had an ex autobody guy show me how to fiberglass and bondo. I used DJ speakers with rubber surround (Very Efficient). The enclosure wasnt perfect, a few little blemishes, but definately works great. At the lake its alot louder and clearer than many other high dollar systems. I learned alot and next one I make will look a little nicer.

Nice DIY Stickle. DintyMo, checkout the Kicker 6.5's..PLENTY of power and sound and much easier to swallow the price. Jet

I have 4 Zapco speakers in Seasick cans, I ride at 60-65' and can hear them well, the sound quality is good. I picked them up for $400 at a marine store going out of business. The retail price was $1900, but that was probably marked up way to high.

If I ever upgrade I will definitely be going with Wetsound tower speakers.

Take a look at the Exile stuff too if you upgrade. They have a horn and a coax option now. The coax option is real affordable and sound awesome. The horns are expensive, like any other horns, but sound great and have some mounting options the are much better for Supra Owners that have the z5 cargo bimini. They sit much higher to the tower, to keep the z5 higher and they have quick disconnect options...

    +1 on the Exiles. That's what I have on my '09 21v

Still not "cheap" by any means
