    Default WW: Parks' new XStar

Sorry but I think it's at least worth a look.

Please keep your comments PG13; outright flaming/disrespectful comments WILL be removed by me. Pretty controversial material here lol.

You'll notice he didn't opt for the power tower. Also I am not a fan of the crazy looking gauges on the top of the dash.

Pretty interesting. It sure would be nice to "get" a new boat regularly like they do.

That power tower is unique for sure. I think it' a cool concept and it will be refined if people seem to like it.

Sweet boat, the X-star is world class, beautiful! and that 540 HP engine is incredible.... Parks on the other hand did nothing for me in his advertisement, I was waiting for his head to explode!

MasterCraft has to much bling for my taste. I thing they are great boats with some nice features, but just to much bling in the design. And i dont have to speak about the price tag. But i would like to try the supercharged engine .

I service alot of X star customers. One common complaint is slow and high speed manuverabity. When a driver is used to a center engine or even a flat bottom V drive, which all handle much better than the X star. The rudder is way to small for the displacement and hull length. For my taste I do not like the graphics. Did I here it is a "wrap" Boy if it is, one scratch and you are done, no repairing. Only replacement. Al

These things have gotten so "trendy". 15 years from now, people will look at that boat and go "What were they thinking?!" Did we learn nothing from the late 80's, early 90's people? (Obviously not, as neon framed sunglasses are comming back faster than you can say "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air".)

It IS a sweet boat though. That motor is awesome! It looks to be the engine out of the new CTS-V. If they ditched the silver seats and trendy stickers, this thing would be more "timeless".

It is smart from a marketing standpoint though, as most people will love all those trendy fads. Besides, the guy who has enough money to buy this bad-boy will simply uprgade in a couple of years to the next trendy thing.

    *Rant off* LOL!

Interesting enough my Supra dealer (Liquid Wrenches) is an anuthorized Mastercraft repair center. They service and repair all kinds of MC's. The service manager was telling me about the poor quality control MC is having these days, crooked emblems, upholstry fading/tearing, gel coat cracking, etc... and how difficult it was becoming to have MC repair anything under there warranty. I was very surprised by this because I always thought MC was big on quality control and customer service.

Good news is they have been a Supra/Moomba dealer since '07 and have had very few problems with these boats. Infact he commented on how well they are constructed and how good SC is about backing up there products. This was nice to hear.

Although, with that said I still really like the X-star, its just a sweet looking boat.
