Default Black goop in the water

Was winterizing my 06 21V today, needed to change the oil, so I changed out the plugs first then started the engine. Noticed black flecks, looked like carbon, coming out of the exhaust. Any idea what it is?

When was the last time you checked your impeller. If the black rubber was deteriorating it could look like that. How much was mixed in the water coming out exhaust?

I just changed the impeller this week, it looked like new. There was quite a bit of carbon floating on the exhaust water, but this may be from me cleaning the carb throat. It had a coating of black crud on it, so I put a rag in it and sprayed it off with carb cleaner. Some may have gotten in. I need to pull it out and start it again, see if the problem is still there.
