20V has been the same since it first cam out, 2006 i think. 21V was the same from 05-08. Current 21V started in 09. 22V changed in 2007 to the current 22V hull. 24V was the same from 05-10. 242 is brand new for 2011.

And you do want to stick with Supra...a true riders boat.

Well I called a supra dealer... They said my hull was considered a cross over hull and if I want a better wake I need to get a 07 and up supra Not what I wanted to hear... But for the price I pay for a newer supra I can get a brand new xstar with the options I want for 64.. I still can't belive that the newer ones do not have hard tank ballast.. That is the only thing I HATE about my boat.. Takes up too much room when full and alot of crap in the floor!

What year and model boat do you have? The only crossover boats I know that Supra has built is some if their direct drives and the current 20V. I had a buddy with a 2003 22SsV and weighted right, that thing had a sick wake. Big wakes can definitely be had with pre 2007 wakes but I will say, the newer hulls produce a bigger wake easier and most of the time have a better shape.

It's funny. The thing I like about Supra is that they use bags. I am a Supra dealer but I also sell other brands that have hard tanks so I can say this without being biased. I am also an avid wakeboarder and like I said, I love the bags. Since you brought up the X Star, I will use it as an example. When you take a stock X Star compared to a stock 22V, the supra will have the bigger and better wake. To get the x star to where you Supra is you have to add more weight, therefore introducing bags into the system. Why not start with bags and have a better wake from the start and then have the option to easily upgrade in the future. Go look at any companies' more expensive "upgraded" ballast system, they are a bag system.

If you can get into a brand new X star for $64k, that sounds like an unbelievable deal. Do keep in mind that you will have to add extra weight to get a comparable wake to the Supra. Plus the supra will handle better and have a better rough water ride on top of many other advantages. I know that you can get intonation new 2010 21V or 22V for under $60k.

If you have any questions about Supras or any boat brands for that matter feel free to message me. Like I said, I am a dealer for multiple inboard lines but first and foremost am a wakeboarder that has driven, ridden in, and ridden behind just about every wake boat on the market.

Tanks stink, they are a fixed size, so they come too small and you have to really mod it to upgrade. These are plug and play any size you desire. Your setup should not require any bags on the floor. And I have never seen a new xstar for $64, post it up.

I agree that bags are one of the big selling points for supra. Can change out sizes anytime and have it all plumbed and throw massive amounts of ballast all at the flip of the switch and all hidden. Tough to do with hard tanks. You probably have an old SSV hull which really had limited storage and the bags filled all the compartments. If you look at the 21V or the 07 and newer 22SSV you will find that you have much more storage and you will probably appreciate the bags more. I can see your frustration with bags if that is the case.
