I'm thinking of picking up Perfect Pass for my Saltare. The only thing that worries me is cutting the hole for the paddle wheel. Like most boat owners I have an aversion to cutting a hole in the botom of my boat. I worry about getting the location just right and cutting the hole properly without messing anything up. Unfortunately since i ride on a river than can have strong tidal currents GPS may not be practical, and I would like to have a water temp gauge too.
Has anyone done perfect pass with the paddle wheel? Where did you put the paddle wheel? How did you cut the hole? 5200 for sealant? Any tips or tricks?
Also considering finding a place that has done these installs before but not sure what's in my area or how much they would charge.
