    Default Stereo System

I'm looking to upgrade my 2007 Supra stereo system. Currently I have the stock Ken-wood set up and wanted to get some opinions on what's out there. I looking for speakers, amp, head unit, and tower speakers. Not really sure what the budget is right now and if need be I will exclude the tower speakers for now. Any suggestions would be great.

Here are a couple questions to help narrow all the suggestions you will get ...

    1. Do you currently have cans? Do you want to reuse them?
    2. Do you have a dual battery setup?
    3. Do you have a factory amp?
    4. Preference in source? Ipod, bluetooth, cd, flash drive, etc?
    5. Do you want the ability to control towers seperate from inboats?
    6. What do you do most often and want to accomplish with stereo? wakeboard, surf, party cove?

You say you dont know what the budget is but you could start getting recommendations anywhere from $500 upgrade to $8,000 upgrade. Is anything off limits?

    I just upgraded my system..

    2- NVS Deviant tower speakers
    2- 700w ARC amps
1- Battery with VSR, battery box
    1- Wet Sounds WS420 EQ
    Custom amp shelf
Misc wire and fittings, fuse blocks, cables

    All total about $3400.00

KG is correct depending on the grade of equipment can get very expensive...

Agree that this can get expensive. I overhauled the new OEM system on my '09 21 v last year.

I kept the receiver but added 2 pair of tower speakers from exile, replaced the cabin speakers with exiles and added an exile sub. Throw in 2 more amps, a second battery and a battery switcher and things get pricey quickly- but the sound is unreal.

I like Exile is every bit as good as Wet Sounds at a far better price and recommend you give them a look.

Dusty and I worked on this over the winter ...

We were very budget conscious and it came in around the $2,000 ballpark.

I looked at the exile setups for Supras and they all look decent. What did your "grocery list" cost? Where did you buy the Exile products?

    Default Setup idea

This is what I am thinking I am going to go with:
    ALPINE
PDX-5M- Marine 4 Channel Power + Mono Power Amplifier
MC20 –Wireless Marine Remote Commander Kit
CDA-118M- Waterproof 1.8 DIN Marine CD Receiver

    Rockford Fosgate
    M282-8" Full-Range Speaker
    M212S4-12" Marine Subwoofer

Going to wait on the tower speakers for now.

    Thoughts or comments?

    Ahhhh YEA!

Looks like its gonna be a badass setup!

Those alpine products are exactly whats going into my boat.
You will love the CDA-118M and the MC20 commanders!

I would have suggested the Alpine SPR-M700's as well, but maybe I'm a little biased?

Enjoy, hit me up if you have any issues (I am the product specialist for Alpine Canada)
