Transmission rebuild kit and reverse clutch plate

I bought a transmission rebuild kit from SKIDIM and sold boat before install. I have the full kit still in packaging and box. The factory wrapping is still sealed. It is for a borg warner Direct drive transmission(pleasurecraft). Gasket oil seal kit cost 183.00 and outer reverse clutch plate cost 18.30. Want to sell both for 140.00. (originally 201.30).

Tell me why i need this and how to identify what trans I have...

If your trans slips you'll need to rebuild it. This typically consists of disassembly, cleaning all parts, and replacing at least the friction disks and plates if they're worn. I've never had an inboard trans apart but my understanding is it's similar to doing a simplified automatic transmission or like doing a complicated motorcycle clutch.
