    Default Teleflex control replacement

I have a 1999 Legacy and do not like the Teleflex control. I want to replace it with a much smoother and easier to use Morse control. Has any one done this or is it even possible?

    dndsam,

I just replaced the control cables on my 99 Legacy last night. It is not that big of a job. You will need to get two 18 foot 33c contral cables. If you haven't done the replacement yet, let me know and i will try to step you through the install.

My cables were so bad that I could barely move the throttle lever. My wife just about refused to drive so i had to do something because if the wife doesn't drive I don'r ski. The throttle lever now works like butter. Headed to the lake tomorrow to try it out.

Thanks for the info. My cables are fine. My controller is bad. And for those who questioned as I did whether or not a Teleflex controller can be replaced by a Morse. The answer is YES! Man what an improvement. ALL ski boats should have the classic Morse controller!
