    Default 86 Supra Comp leak

Anyone have any pics of the exhaust from the engine to the stern. May have a leak in mine at the way back and I would like to have an idea of where it could be coming from. Could be the exhaust, could be a seal issue. Looks like the entire floor will need to come up for me to get a look.

    Thanks for the help.

The mating method of the exhaust pipe to transom is not robust, and is completley reliant upon the sealant to fill the void between the pipe and the transom holes. I think there should be a flange attached to the exhaust pipe that would bolt to the transom (whith sealant applied to the faying surfaces).

do you have the trapps shown in wotan's thread?

if so, there's another area that needs to be sealed in addition to the flange. the trapp and exhaust pipe meet about 2" up the pipe. that line needs to be sealed and probably re-sealed at a later date. something to occasionally inspect.
