Default thoughts on the 242 wake?

i am currently looking at a 2011 242 in houston. i am demoing it tomorrow morning. i hear that it likes more weight in the rear of the boat but i am wondering how to truly get the most out of it wake wise. i am an advanced rider (got a mobe and working on more and 7's) any helpful advice would be greatly appreciated.

I haven't been behind one but the local shop here said the same thing. More weight in the back (compared to prior models). The 24ssv likes something near 60 front 40 back so I'd say 50/50 or less I guess. Diamondlake (local dealer) pulled brostock this year. You could give them a quick call or email and maybe they could tell you how they had it weighted.

Also, their 242 is for sale. Might be worth looking at as it should come a little cheaper since it was a "demo" boat.

This demo boat should be for sale in a few weeks, too, I think....

Two completely different styles ... both gorgeous. Wish I had that type of problem to solve ...

Not a big fan of wraps...have one on our ski supreme and their life expectancy is nowhere close to worth the cost.

I got my 242 in July and the wake is pretty good stock but it does seem it likes more rear weight than my 2002 launch...
I have not added any extra weight but have had 5 people 800 to 900 extra pounds in the rear of the boat and the wake was much larger and the boat still was very stable no bouncing up and down.... So rear weight seems to work good in this new hull design...

So what was the verdict? I find my 1990 Sunsport likes more rear weight as well.
