Default 1985 Supra Sunsport 351-ford Changing the thermometer

I am wanting to change my thermostat this weekend, any suggestion on how this is done. I am mechanical, I just need direction. Also roughly what temp should the average boat be running at? Thanks my motor is the 351 carb'd ford motor.......yes i know i said thermometer, maybe I should check the turkey I am cooking as well! Damn, need an edit button for the titles!

Also on another note....the prior owner said the impeller was changed. I am going to buy a manual so I can do 98% of the work myself(always have on prior boats). Does anyone want to give the 2 second version of how to change the impeller? Yes the prior owner said he did....but I just want to do it and get my hands dirty. I will be waiting until I start to winterize the boat to do the change though.

whats your email ? i got your manual for the motor / boat / trans ...

follow all your cooling hoses to your T-stat housing (thermostat) middle of motor ... it has like 4 or 5 7/16 bolts ..... remove these clean old gaskets off and just pull the old thermostat out ... its really simple ,

Thanks for your help! [email protected]. Sounds easy enough though.
