Well Sunday I was finally able to take her out on a test run and it all worked!

New interior and speakers are going back in of Friday. I did not want to put the interior in until I knew it was going to run.

So I am trying to figure this motor box thing out. I took the old frame base and used it for a template and made a new one, I cannot get the hinge and box to work. When I bought the box they were separated already.

Flip the hinge around so the pivot point is at the rear of the doghouse base, not on the inside front edge.

How will the doghouse flip up with it resting on the inner lip when the outer lip is taller in the rear?

Sounds like you have the hinge installed in the wrong spot then.

Yes, with the doghouse resting on the lip the hinge should be just a bit above the top of the base. 'Factory' has a piece of vinyl to hide it from view.

Always wanted to switch to gas shocks. Damn hinge rips out of the base over time.
