Crystal and Michael, I just want to thank you both again for taking the time to answer my posts. I’ve followed your advice. I’m currently waiting for my shipment from SkiDim for:
New carb, new distributor, new fuel pump and filters, etc. The people at SkiDim are awesome. They tell you exactly what you need.
I’m gonna need some final advice on setting the timing. Please look out for a new thread asking for advice on that week after next.

Red in gas could well be fuel additive from previous owner to help preserve the gas although ten years goes beyond reasonable expectations.
Ski Dim is awesome! Used them a number of times in the past.
Pleased to see the light is now shining at the end of the tunnel for you.
