Youve probably discovered the answer by now, but i'll share for those fallowing along. The "3528" and "5050" denote the size of the LED pod and does not dictate the number of LED pods per foot. A 3528 is a 3.5MM x 2.8MM LED and the 5050 is a 5.0MM x 5.0MM LED pod. Most of the commonly found single color 5M strips are an 8MM wide strip and are fitted with the 3528 LED pods. Most of the commonly found RGB strips are the larger 5050 and come on a 10MM wide strip. Although not as common, there are some single color 5050's. Single color 3528 8MM wide strips can be found in 150 count p/5M strip, 300 count p/5M strip and 600 count p/5M strip. RGB 5050 10MM wide strips can be found in 300 count p/5M strip and 600 count p/5M strip. Never looked to see if RGB's come in 150 count, so dont take it as they dont.
