Strapless Boat Cover

Does anybody know what company makes the strapless boat covers I have seen on the new Malibu's, Nautiques, MC??? I need a new cover for my Supra Comp and really like the idea of the ratcheting strap to tighten the cover instead of snaps.

Great Lakes or Westland (made by Great Lakes) If Westland has the exact fit for your boat available, I highly recommend the sunbrella cover with a vent ratchet strap to your tower that also saves you from having poles in the boat. Disclaimers: 1. There are two straps required in the back to strap the back to the lifting eyes. 2. If trailering you would want to strap it down. Westland comes with the straps, eyelets, and ratchets for the ropes. I paid 150 less for my 2008 supra 21v online than i was quoted for the great lakes version by a dealer.

I got one from http://skiboatcovers.thecanvasshoppe.com for my 2005 Launch 21v and it is great. If you do the Sunbrella material you don't need a vent since it is breathable. Call the dude there and talk to him, he is super helpful.

Here is mine, same as what FreeFlyerNC posted.

The measurements are right on to fit around the tower. There are the clasps that also secure the tower points to create a long draw-string effect around the bottom of the cover to snug it up nice and tight. The poles snap into position so they can't move on ya. I took one of no poles just to show.

On mine I opted to have the trailer securing kit. This allows me to put the cover on, tighten it down, and secure it to the trailer. Since it has the support poles and is so tight, and is also Sunbrella I can tow with this and not expect damage.

But as you can see from the bow shot, it's on there tight without the straps in that picture.

Overall, I'm very pleased. They were also great to work with.

That looks good, although I don't want the straps to tie to the trailer. I looked at the website Haugy suggested. From what I have been able to find this cover seems like the best available other than a true custom cover that snaps to my boat.

The trailer straps were an add-on option. Standard covers do not come with them. And for what it's worth, the straps are completely removable from the cover. They feed through a sewn in loop. So they don't dangle down in the water, but you can put them on in 2 minutes if you need them. That's why I got them. I plan on using this as a mooring cover most of the time. I keep the boat in the shop 99% of the time. And I didn't want straps dangling down. But if I needed to cover it quickly in a storm on the trailer, I can.
