Salty87, yeah I did a quick wetsand when I first got it but will hit it again before the season or before it gets wrapped.

Has anyone cut their wake plate and added a piano key hinge before? Im wanting to move away from the fixed wakeplate but retain the factory mounting. Eventually will add actuators instead of the manual adjusters. Does anyone think it'll be too much stress on the hinge?

Thinking about doing the same. Do you have any good sources for an appropriate hinge?

There's one on greatlakesskipper.com that im looking at http://greatlakesskipper.com/sea-ray...o-hinge-single and just cut it down and bolt up?

Update- Haven't gotten much done, waiting on parts to come in. Installed a remote in the rear vent. I have to give all the credit for the idea to TitanTn. Mine sits a little high so I might tinker with it some to get it to flush mount. Painted the polk speaker grills gloss black over the bronze cones to match the interior. Installed one of the gunnel panels, and a quick snap of the teak platform. Im polishing out the stainless trim now so it looks almost new when it goes back around the platform. Here's a few pics

Wow! I'm honored to be called out on this restoration. With what you've been doing on the interior I wouldn't have thought there was any comparison to mine - but it's a little easier to hang if we take the upholstery out of the conversation...

That teak is looking awesome. How much sanding did you do before applying the teak oil?

Thanks. The teak was far past gone so I took a 40 grit belt sander to it and then 120, 220 palm sander

Put the last layer of glass on the ski locker lip, installed the new strut bearings, installed the dripless shaft seal, teflon packing for the rudder, recessed the remote for the radio some more, loaded my tower speaker enclosures, installed the speakers in the boat. My Cipa 180 mirror came in. Now im building the amp rack and waiting until I feel comfortable enough to pull the boat out and put the tower on for the season so I can install the wiring harness, speakers, bimini, and mirror.
