Well, it is out because I cannot get it to fit with the engine box installed. To me the angle of the pylon is raked back too far for the engine box to fit far enough forward to cover all of the floor opening.

It's close, but mine covers all of the opening with the stock pylon. I wonder if your doghouse base has been modified.

I had to make the base as the one that came with the boat was falling apart. It had been made out of maple it looked like.

You've got a tower and the ski rope loop/eyelet on the back so I suppose you don't need the pylon anyway.

I'm working on the boat this week so I can take photos and measurements if you like.

Ski pole is at the same angle as the back of the drivers seat. The motor box touches the pole at the floor and when I open the motor cover the lid just touches up against the pole.

    Hope these pics help.

    Cheers

That's pretty much how mine is. My base is not attached to the floor, so I just slid the base back before lifting the cover.

Thanks. I guess I will just carpet the engine box base, install the pylon and leave the screws out so I can also move the base around to open and close the box.
