Help with 87sunsport engine

Hello every one. Im in the process of building a engine for my brothers 87 Supra sun sport. I am trying to find specs for the original engine that would have came in this thing. My brother brought the engine to my shop today thinking he had a 351w but it's not. It's a 302 and from what I can tell it's a red with Crome valve cover glastron 200?the block is a 1968 date code cast. I don't think this is the original engine.funny to me it has a 351 fire order? Any ways can some one shed some light on what would have came in this boat.

I'm not an expert, but to the best of my knowledge, all the Supra's from that era came with either the PCM351W or the 454. (Indmar I believe). I have seen other boats claiming to have a 302 but I always assumed that it was a mistake in identification. The rear of the motor above the tranny should have an ID plate that looks like this.

So we tore into the engine and found out it is a 302 bored .030 over. It has a 351 fire order camshaft. So I assume this is a standard rotation marine engine. The prop is a 13LH12. LH mean left hand? Any ways The cylinders are pitted and will need to be bored again.so we picked up a 1984 351 truck engine and plan to rebuild it. Going to take it to HP engines on wendsday for machine and crack testing. Looking at can choices now and think we ate going gwith a crane 443901 260/272 .456/.484 112lsa.

My brother is wanting a nice cam. something with lots of ass hauling power and good sound. Any one have any can recommendations let me know. Thanks
