The person that made my cover, added to "clips" to allow me to attach the cover to the tower, if I want to - either in addition to, or in place of the support poles.
Last week, we had a BIG HEAVY wet snow - that collapsed one of hte poles (didn't bend it, it just compressed it past the lock nut) - and I had about 50 gallons of water on the cover. I am not sure what might have happened if I had the straps to the tower, I
am concerned it might have actually torn the cover where the straps are, but then ... maybe the pole wouldn't have compressed. I need to talk to my cover guy, becuase I
REALLY like the way the cover wraps around the tower -- extended up. Right now, this is a weak spot for me - leaves and things can get in there,
