Quite sure the 450 has a larger cam and or slightly better flowing heads to get to the higher HP rating. Plus, its the same 6.2 liters so you're only going to feel any power difference above 4000 rpms where our boats dont spend much time. The 450/460 is a 93 octane tune and likely some internal upgrades over the 440/450 variant that is still 89 octane tune. I doubt there are internal differences between 400 and 440
