Jabsco impeller upgrade

Can I get a consensus on the best impeller upgrade on the Jabsco 18220 pumps? I've heard that orange is better than green and vice versa. Any input would be greatly appreciated!!!

I have Jabsco Pumps on my boat now and replaced them with Green from Wakemakers. They lasted 2 seasons. That is what most all people use.

Previous boat had Johnson. OEM was back, they did not last and would stick. Changed to orange, which is what they come with now.

Jabsco used the green
Johnson used the orange
Jabsco King used the purple
Johnson Talulah used orange (but a different model #)

Where did you hear about orange?

Google... I wasn't certain if all colors were available for all makes and models, or if they were pump-specific.

Johnson does state that their 09-824P-2 is a replacement for the Jabsco 6303-0007-P. Ive never used the orange in place of a green, so its not an endorsement.

If you are using the green impellers, model 6303-0007-P, I highly recommend getting the Jabsco OEM impellers, and not the cheaper Amazon knockoff's. I put a set of the Amazon green impellers in, they looked exactly the same as the Jabsco (except without the embossed "JABSCO" on the sidewall, but they failed within weeks - the pump shaft tore the middle of the impeller out where the shaft inserts into the impeller. They must be using a weaker plastic/polymer.
