    Default Boat Wont Start With Balest Hooked Up

    ok with the balast restor hooked up the boat wont start but when you un hook it and put the wires together the boat starts rite up this only happens some times???/this boat is my nobors its a 1986 comp could this be a weak coil or just a bad restior i just dont get it=--- it only happens once in a while????

    My guess is coil but neither are expensive. I dont have specs to test them . I would just replace both.
