Default 03 SSV PP temp guage???

My perfect pass has a water temp screne but there are 2 stars on the screen, not temp.

I emailed PP and they said that if I look at the sensor there would be a brown wire that needs hooked up.

I looked and couldn't find any wire at the sensor

    Anyone else have/had this problem?

If it is there why is it not hooked up at the factory???

If it is not there how do I get the temp reading?

It should already be hooked up from the factory. Mine was hooked up. You have to press the "Menu" button and the "Up" arrow at the same time to pop the water temperature reading onto the screen. Give that a try and let us know if that is the solution for you.

When I press menu and up I get the temp screen but two astricks (**)

I emailed PP and they said there should be a brown wire coming from the sensor but I cannot find it (the wire)

I have no idea why it wouldn't have been hooked up at the factory.

I need to ask my dealer.

in 03 there was no pick up for a temp gauge on the boat. in o4 the paddle wheel has the temp pick up included. you can probably pick up the new paddlewhee assembly and in stall yourself no problem reusing the original mount in the hull
