    Default Roswell Lightbar LED

Has anyone replaced the courtesty lights in the roswell light bar. I'm referring to the lights that shine down into the boat. I would like to change these out for red ones to match the boat but not sure how big of a project we are talking.

I talked to Scott at Roswell and he hooked me up with replacement blue ones. I had about 3 or 4 LED's in each side stop working. Did not ask about changing colors.

I called and spoke with Roswell a week or 2 ago and was told that they did not offer any color other than Blue. Since you have been sent replacements, can you tell me what kind of LED's they use? I had two trains of thought, one was that the LED's were the style used on dash guages and would be soldered to a circuit board. If thats the case, it would be a bit more work removing and replacing. My other thought was if it is in fact the above, just remove the board all together and stick a few strip led lights across the opening, and then put the "S" cover back over it.

BUT, it sounds like they use a differnt style led. So if the blue ones are simply replaced, it sounds like we may be able to just buy some reds and replace them.

The replacements were one piece that included new plastic, board, wire with connector. I will see if I can get a pic of the old ones tonight.

In relation to LEDs ... Matt Laird, i saw some of your install pics. How did you get the LEDs around your tweeters?

    Kyle,

I tore into mine last year. It's very simple. I can walk you through it.

Hopefully it is easy to swap for red, Chad. You saying it should be doable? Lets get something in writing. I could see a lot of people wanting to do this mod. I want to do it to match the color of my boat.

It's no different than a standard led. We could cut a piece of thin wood to fit In the slot. Then mount the lights to that piece and mount the plastic cover to it. It's pretty simple.
When I got my bar, someone disconnected the lights inside it. I had to go back and reconnect them. It's just two wires. Would be simple.

Sounds easy enough Chad. I need to go out there and pull it apart. Or pull it off the tower so I can work in the heat!!

Why would they disconnect the light?
