So last weekend I hit something under the water and bent my prop. This weekend got the new acme prop installed and was excited to see what gains i would have. As i was reversing the boat off of the trailer it pulled up debre ruining my new prop without even trying it. Talk about bad luck and it just sucks.

Yuck! At least you were driving and not somebody else.

This is what power-loading does to a bad boat launch. You end up with all of sand/silt/rocks being pushed out from the base of the launch and into a shallow mound about 20' further out.

I still power-load, of course. I'm just careful around unfamiliar boat launches!

I watched a 28 foot Chapparal cabin boat power load before I took my boat out on Sunday. Backed the trailer in towards the normal spot and the bottom just fell out. Guess I will be looking for a new launch spot after reading this thread.
