    Default April 2013 Picture Thread

Here's a picture from today. Laura and I ran up to the lake house to check on it for my in laws. All those items are at a place on shore that is well above the normal high level for the season by at least a few feet.

My April photo is the barn I'm putting up. It'll be the home for my boat, tractor, and equipment trailer.

Yeah, streets were flooded and some were impassable even a few days ago. The road leading to and from O' Hare was closed as well. The chain of lakes where my in laws lake house is was flowing over 4200 CFS over the dams. To put that in perspective, that's 4,200 basketballs going over the damn in a second!

I got my boat on a friend's lift this weekend so I can start the trailer rebuild. I ran it only for about 5 mins, but it was great to be on the water again.

Picked up a few new toys for the boat.

Got the surf board and fat slalom ski off ebay. The slalom in the case from a local online auction for $30 couldn't pass it up for that price.

Picked up the Pirata from the Canvass guy today. He did a nice job making the cover go around the tower.

Also picked up a new mower.

I got out on Sunday and it was gorgeous. I was worried about the battery because I didn't take it out of the boat during the offseason but after a one hour trickle charge she was good to go for the day. If only the weather could be a little more consistent, rain this weekend. Boo.
