i see what yall are saying , so if i would to put a price tag at 15k would i be crazy ? i mean haugy like you said id hope to see 13,500 and would be happy with that .. but i have mixed feelings if i would even list it , my family is big and i mean 20-30 people easy big all the time .. everyone wants to tube and ski but i just don't have a big enough boat... i want to keep it but then again i want a bigger boat .... see my problem.... and sometimes i want to set fire to the engine and watch it all burn !! lol ugh!

Lots of cosmetic work but what about the mechanicals and the under deck structure. Nothing kills resale value like questionable or rotten stringers. I would agree 8 to 12K its still a 86 boat .

not crazy but you might have to be patient to find the right buyer who also thinks your restoration is a better deal than a newer boat at a similar price. for around $5k more a buyer can find a 2001 year v drive in the classifieds on here.

Not at all. As Salty mentioned, you may have to be patient though. But that's even more selling power, you aren't in a rush. Those who don't have to sell, but are just looking to move up when the offer is right have all the negotiating power. When I sold my Mariah, I was just looking for a bigger boat. Didn't have to sell her, didn't really want to as I loved it so much. But if I got the number I wanted in my head, I'd move it. And I did, so it was gone. You'll just have to be patient, and it's all in how you sell it. Badass pictures, details, receipts available, etc etc. That's how you can help move it. Putting a few pictures on Craigslist won't sell it. You really have to promote it and the work you've done to it.

Just my opinion here, but you should Never drive a boat that way. I was almost thrown out of my buddies boat when I turned too hard and hit a roller once a long time ago. Scared the hell out of me. Someone was killed on the lake where I ski because they got thown out and run over. In that case it was a passenger sitting on the rail but similar. That's why they make big ass ski mirrors. Once you're kneeling on the seat, you're using the wheel for balance, you get jostled, and you pull on the wheel for balance...

Recently my ski instructor freaked when he saw someone driving like that, none of the drivers at the ski club ever drive in any position other than seated, and these folks drive all day long.
